Michael Steger is best known for his starring role as Navid Shirazi on the CW hit drama series “90210”.
The Southern California native caught the attention of filmmaker, Tim Burton who cast him in the lead role of The Killers’ music video “Bones” in 2006. Steger has appeared in several Disney Channel productions including “Hannah Montana,” “Cory in the House,” and as a co-star in the Disney Channel Original Movie “The Cheetah Girls,” released in 2008. That same year he also appeared in a featured role on “Criminal Minds.” Steger landed his first series regular role opposite Rob Corddry in the FOX television series, “The Winner” and achieved series TV stardom in the CW television revival of the 90’s era classic “Beverly Hills 90210.”
Since then, Steger has made guest appearances on “American Women,” “True Blood,” “Covert Affairs,” and “Criminal Minds” among others. He can also be seen in films such as “Ana Maria in Novela Land “Bleed” and “The Baby Moon and Fatal Flip”. Following these roles, he was nominated for an Imagen Award for ‘Best Actor’ playing Tony and Armando in “Ana Maria in Novela Land.”
Steger isn’t just a talented television and film actor, but has shown promise behind the camera too. Last year he directed Ted Danson and his daughter Kate Danson in the short film “The Wrights.” In 2015 he produced and directed a one-woman show called “Brandee Built on Crazee” which ran for eight weeks to sold-out audiences in Hollywood. Soon after this production, the Stegers started their production company, Book 11 Productions. Mike’s current film project, ‘White Like Me’ is an engaging and expressive film co-created and written with his wife, Brandee Tucker and is set to start production this Fall.
Steger currently resides in Los Angeles, CA with his wife Brandee and their daughter Poet. He is a Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio. He has always been inspired by the sacrifices and services our veterans have contributed to our country. When met with the opportunity to meet war heroes in his hometown, he was blown away by their strength, resilience and how open they were to talking about their experience. Michael has the deepest respect for veterans and is excited to show his support through this event.
